A block is a different purchase from a complete engine
A short block typically centers on the lower engine assembly, while a long block extends the supplied engine core. Those terms do not replace a seller-specific parts list. The J05E block products should be compared by their written inclusions, especially cylinder-head parts, manifolds, fuel equipment and accessories.
Plan the work needed to transfer or source parts from the original engine. Match the full J05E suffix, engine serial and machine serial, then check physical interfaces. Technical figures for a complete J05E engine are family references, not specifications for a loose block package.
