The D7D EAE2 and D7E EAE3 labels identify different builds in this catalog. Compare the exact data-plate code, machine serial and equipment documentation before using an engine from the same broad D-series family. A Volvo equipment brochure can show one reference application without proving interchangeability with another machine.
