Buyer guide
Start with the engine plate and the repair scope
A model name narrows the search, but it does not identify every build. Record the full engine code, serial number and any arrangement or build-list number, then compare them with the machine serial and the product listing. For example, CAT C15, Komatsu SAA6D114E-2 and Perkins 1104C-44TA listings represent different engine families and installation requirements.
Decide whether the job calls for a complete engine assembly, a short or long block, or an engine configured for a generator. Check the supplied components, controls, cooling connections and driven-equipment interface before ordering. International shipping is available for all engines; contact info@nyengines.com with plate photos if the exact build is unclear.
What to check before ordering
- Photograph the engine data plate and the equipment serial plate.
- Confirm condition and whether the listing is an engine assembly, block or generator engine assembly.
- Compare mounts, flywheel housing, controls, cooling and driven-equipment connections.
